Pottery in the Park
is an annual Fort Worth pottery festival held on the beautiful park grounds of the Lockheed Martin Recreational Association. The October event is sponsored by the LMRA Pottery Club whose studio is at the same location.

Imagination Alert: Art Thinkers' Days
Four times each year Dallas Contemporary opens its doors to art lovers of all ages with our special Art Thinkers' Days. Each Saturday event offers two hours of fun, family-oriented activities relating to the current exhibition, including a treasure hunt, opportunities to make art, and hands-on activities developed by our educators, art ambassadors, and interns.
Family Days are free to the public, and offer a great way for grandparents, parents, and children to bond through the engaging experience of contemporary art.

Greek Festival
2009 Dates Oct 9, 10, & 11
A special “Taverna Night” on Thursday Oct 8 opens the festival.
Greek food will be served all day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The festival also has music, dancing and a large children’s play area.
Hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday.
Admission and parking are free all weekend.

Join us for an evening of fun for the whole family at the 13th annual After Dark in the Park this weekend, featuring storytelling under the stars, live raptor and animal programs, starlight stroll, bounce house, karaoke, pumpkin patch, face painting, balloon artists, and a unique children's area with a variety of crafts and games!
Park in River Legacy Parks, 701 NW Green Oaks Boulevard, and catch a hayride shuttle to event entrance. Admission is $6 (concessions and some activities are additional). Children 2 and under are admitted free.
Be one of the first 150 children to arrive each night and receive a free goody bag! Hours are 6 to 10 pm, Friday, October 9; 5 to 10 pm, Saturday, October 10; & 5 to 9 pm, Sunday, October 11. Our invitation only event for agencies serving disabled children and their families on Thursday, October 8 has been canceled due to the weather, but families who received tickets may use those tickets any of the other three nights. The only thing scary is the thought of missing it!

This brass ensemble offers everything from Broadway to Beethoven to Big Band, The Beatles and beyond! This band's focus is on contemporary Pop and Jazz but also contains original works and arrangements of many styles.
